Welcome to Shuswap Organics

Our farm is nestled beside the Shuswap River in the North Okanagan. We are passionate about bringing you the freshest winter storage crops, like carrots and beets, straight from our certified organic farm. Not only do we specialize in these nutrient-rich delights, but we also take great care in growing a variety of delicious greens, aromatic herbs, seedlings, and other mixed vegetables throughout the harvest season.

Come join us and taste the difference in every bite!

Emily Jubenvill’s love for preserves started with her grandma's canned cherries, and has grown into a love of growing and preserving good food. She grew up in the Vancouver area, and became interested in organic farming while studying environmental science at university. After a long and winding path that traversed dozens of community gardens and a couple continents, Emily has settled into farming in the small village of Grindrod with Owen Madden and their daughter.

Owen Madden is a recovering lawyer from Ireland. He practised as a criminal prosecutor in Dublin before re-training in Global Climate Change Law. He found his way to Vancouver where he worked in environmental law, and then in public environmental advocacy with a focus on avoiding climate chaos. Marrying a farmer wife (Emily) led to relocation and discovery of a love for the creation of organic foods, which led to the creation of Shuswap Organics.
